FAQ

Does DL Plug download or host music?

No. DL Plug never downloads, stores or rehosts full audio files. It finds downloads that artists and labels already offer and sends you to that original page. You download from there.

Where do the downloads come from?

From the artist's or label's own SoundCloud downloads and download gates (like Hypeddit, ToneDen and Droploud), free releases on Bandcamp (or name-your-price ones where you can pay $0), and similar authorized sources.

What about follow, repost or email gates?

Some artists ask for a follow, a repost or your email before the download. You do that on the artist's page. DL Plug never skips those steps or completes them for you.

Are remixes, flips and bootlegs included?

Yes, when the producer who made them offers the download. Rips and other people's unofficial reuploads are never shown.

What does "Worth a quick check" mean?

It looks like a free download, but DL Plug couldn't fully confirm it comes from the artist or label. Open it and decide for yourself.

Can I scan a private SoundCloud playlist?

Yes, with its private share link. The address in your browser's address bar won't work for a private playlist. Open the playlist on SoundCloud, click Share, and copy the link shown there: it ends in /s- followed by letters and numbers. Paste that into DL Plug.

How big a playlist can I scan?

Playlist links must be public (a private SoundCloud playlist works with its Share link). Spotify links up to 100 tracks, Apple Music links up to 300, SoundCloud playlists up to 500 (SoundCloud's own playlist limit) and your SoundCloud Likes up to 5,000. For bigger playlists or your whole library, upload an export file: Exportify for Spotify, Library.xml for Apple Music.
